Two-time NTT INDYCAR SERIES champion Will Power (photo) led a Team Penske 1-2 on the speed charts Tuesday on the opening day of practice for the 109th Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge.

After a lengthy rain delay, the Indy 500 field finally got on track just after 2:30pm EST. The circuit was made available to all teams, with drivers able to fit about three hours of practice into their day until a nearby lightning strike ended things about 30 minutes early.
